In Oregon, we have a law that states that you implicitly consent to provide a breath, blood, or urine sample to test for drug or alcohol use while driving if requested by an officer. Under the law, when you received your Oregon driver's license, you consented--whether you were aware of it or not--to be tested if asked.
There are serious consequences if you refuse a breathalyzer or blood test. The penalty for refusal is suspension of your license that could be longer than the suspension that would be imposed if you do consent and test over the legal limit.
